Double Bombing Leaves at Least 18 Injured and 1 Dead in Jerusalem

In a coordinated attack this morning, two bombs were detonated in public areas in Jerusalem. With the fear of this attack not being over, Israeli forces are currently scrambling to prevent a possible third bombing.

The first explosion occurred at a bus stop in the neighborhood of Kiryat Moshe. Current reports say that 14 people were injured and one killed. Video from the scene has been posted to social media. We see emergency services arriving and victims on the ground.

The second bomb went off in Ramat Shlomo, a housing development. Reports indicate that the explosion left two people with minor injuries. Local police announced that the bomb was planted by a man who was using an electric bicycle.

With the suspects still at large and the anticipation of another bombing, Jerusalem has been put on lockdown and the entrances to the city have been closed. The IDF is currently on the hunt as two suspects have apparently already been identified.

Hamas put out this statement in response, “We warned that we will not be silent about the Zionist crimes.”
