Finland to Close Land Border with Russian Federation

Tomorrow evening, the Finnish government will close its land border with Russia, reportedly still allowing crossings on a case by case basis but officially restricting the Schengen area visas. Finland said that they will be mirroring the policies of the Baltic states and Poland who made these restrictions several weeks ago.

The Finnish government expects an increase in illegal crossings due to Putin’s mobilization order that has caused thousands of Russian nationals to flee into neighboring countries.
