U.S. Forces Kill ISIS Leader, Capture Syrian Military Commander

U.S. forces have reportedly killed Rakan Abu Hail in a midnight helicopter borne raid. The synopsis of the operations has been reported by the DOHR as follows:

“The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the person who was killed during the implementation of the airdrop of the American forces has been a resident of the area for years, and is likely to be a leader in the “Islamic State” organization, according to what local sources confirmed.

During the landing process, he was killed after refusing to surrender, and an Iraqi person and the leader of the Ansar faction of Military Security were arrested in the village.
Two families were also arrested in the vicinity of the village, without receiving information whether they were released, or whether they were arrested with the wanted persons.
The Syrian Observatory indicated that US forces carried out an airdrop operation after midnight on Wednesday-Thursday, within the areas of influence of the Syrian regime for the first time.

The landing took place in the village of Molouk Saray, 17 kilometers south of Qamishli, in the countryside of Al-Hasakah.

During the landing operation, the soldiers of the operation informed the villagers using loudspeakers that everyone should enter their homes and turn off the lights.
The landing operation resulted in the killing of a person, in addition to the arrest of the commander of the headquarters of the Military Security Supporters, and he does not know that he was arrested because he was wanted by the American forces, or because he resisted the landing process, and the landing process ended at four in the morning.”
