Protestors Target Picasso Painting, Melbourne Australia

Eco- protestors under the group Climate Extinction glued their hands to Picassos’s Massacre in Korea during protests at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia approximately 11 hours ago.

The painting was not harmed as it is protected by a covering. However, the entire museum was cleared of visitors and protestors by police.

Extinction Rebellion spokesperson Brad Homewood said the group “knew we could do this action without damaging the artwork itself. Our intention was always to glue on to the perspex protecting it.”
