At 0844 reports began to emerge indicating an active shooter situation at Sanford High School & Regional Technical Center in Sanford, ME. Initial reporting actually came from Portland High School, which is 42 minutes away, where a lockdown is in place, but the actual event seems to be happening at Sanford.
Southern Maine Fire Notification Center made this post: “Mass Casualty in Sanford, ME for an incident at Sanford High School on Alumni Drive. Multiple helicopters and ambulances being requested.”
