UN Helicopter Fired Upon in DRC

A helicopter belonging to MONUSCO, the UN's mission in the DRC, was fired upon today and struck by gunfire. Security forces have said that, though the pilot was killed, the co-pilot managed to land at the airport in Goma. The incident took place over the village of Rusayo, and came from a presently unknown source.
