Taliban Launches Operation Against ISKP in Balkh Province

The Taliban media outlet al-Mersaad has reported that Taliban forces carried out a raid against an Islamic State– Khorasan Province (ISKP) cell in Nahr-e-Shahi, which sits outside of the provincial capital of Mazar-i-Sharif. Heavy fighting has been reported and the situation is said to be ongoing. Balkh province remains a hotbed for ISKP activity.
