Hundreds Killed and Injured in 5.0 Earthquake, Kashmar, Iran

According to IRNA, four people have been killed and 120 have been injured due to a 5.0 magnitude earthquake in Kashmar, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran.

The quake was detected at 0620 EST by the United States Geological Service at 2km North-Northwest of Kashmar at a depth of 10km.

Initially, the Governor of Kashmar said there were no casualties or injuries and that the only damage was to the exterior facades of buildings and houses. However, as more reporting has come in, that is now clearly false.
