North Korea Calls for Loyalty Ahead of Anniversary of Founder’s Death

The North Korean state-run newspaper Rodong Sinmun published an article calling for loyalty to North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jung Un as the nation nears the 30th anniversary of the passing of his grandfather and North Korean founder Kim Il Sung, who died on July 8th, 1994.

The state-run media outlets refer to Kim Il Sung as the “Great Leader.”

The same article also noted some projects overseen by current leader Kim Jung Un. One example is the new training school of the ruling Worker’s Party of Korea, referring to it as a “gift to the late founder.”
