German Fighters Intercept Russian Bomber Over Baltic Sea

At approximately 0430 EST, initial reports indicated that (2) Russian Tu-22m3 strategic bombers took off from Olenya airfield in Murmansk Oblast, Russian Federation. However, only (1) Tu-22m3 and what appears to be a Su-27/FLANKER were then intercepted by German Air Force Eurofighters over the Baltic Sea. The initial reporting of (2) Tu-22m3s was most likely in error, unless the second bomber did not participate in this patrol.
