U.S. Drafts UN Security Council Notice for Multinational Force Deployment to Haiti

According to the draft resolution obtained by the Miami Herald, the United States has reportedly decided to appeal to the United Nations Security Council to form a multi-national military force to deploy to Haiti. According to several U.S. sources, the Biden Administration is drafting the official notice in response to the U.N. Secretary-General requesting such force be sent to the struggling island nation. This is the first indicator that the U.S. has acted on the request of the Haitian Prime Minister. The obtained documents have not alluded to a potential delivery to the UNSC or deployment dates.
