100 Injured, 50 Trapped in Church Roof Collapse, Madero, Mexico

Update (2023 EST): Seven have been confirmed killed and at least fourteen injured as emergency services are still sifting through the rubble.

At approximately 1700 EST, initial reports indicated that the roof of the Iglesia Santa Cruz church on Calle Chihuahua in Madero, Tamaulipas, Mexico had collapsed. The church was full of Sunday worshippers and at least 50 people are still trapped.

Emergency services are on scene. It is not currently clear if anyone has died. This is developing.
