Russian Conscripts in Chuvashia Refuse to Fight in Ukraine

A post on Tumblr is going viral purporting to show freshly conscripted Russian soldiers refusing to leave their local training ground due to lack of payment. The statement accompanying the video below reads:

“Dear citizens of the Russian Federation, the mobilized servicemen of the Chuvash Republic are turning to you! We, risking our own lives, are going to certain death for your safety and peaceful life! Our state refuses to pay us the money in the amount of 195 thousand rubles, which our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin promised us!

For the sake of what then should we go to fight for this state, leaving our families without support? We refuse to participate in a special military operation and will seek justice until we are paid the money promised by our government headed by the President of the Russian Federation!”

In the video, a disgruntled conscript is admonishing the national guard representative telling her that he has not been paid his promised stipend for mobilization, promised to him by President Putin. He also says “you can March yourself to Ukraine if this is how it is.” The rest of the conversation is obfuscated by the mass of men interjecting, but near the end of the video, other guardsmen confront the man.
