Venezuela Shoots Down Another Narco-Aircraft

The Bolivarian Military Aviation, otherwise known as the Venezuelan Air Force has shot down another narco-plane near Apure, the thirty-third of 2022, according to the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces. Venezuela routinely shoots down aircraft that violate its airspace, usually under the assumption that they are drug traffickers. These shootdowns are usually performed by interceptors, however, surface-to-air missiles have made several high-profile shootdowns since 2013. This particular case seems to be an air intercept by a K-8, from the wing form. However, the K-8 has been used by the Venezuelans as a jet trainer, not a fighter. So this footage may just be a scrambled trainer to observe the shootdown. The Bolivarian Military Aviation employs the Su-30, F-5, and F-16 as its fighter aircraft.
