Glynn County Sheriff’s Office has declared a shelter in place order in a three mile radius around the Symrise Chemical Plant in Brunswick Georgia. A one mile radius evacuation order has been ordered around the factory.
The Hickory Bluff neighborhood has been ordered to evacuate.
Germany-based Symrise, a company that creates and develops fragrance, flavor, natural nutrition, and cosmetic solutions, has invested several million dollars in expanded the plant since 2021.
