Chinese Foreign Ministry Claims Situation Stable At Border After Clashes With Indian Military

Today, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin gave a press conference where he answered questions about the recent clashes between Chinese and Indian troops at a contested border region.

Wang Wenbin claimed that the situation at the border is currently stable and that the two sides have maintained communication via diplomatic and military channels.

He also stated, “It is hoped that the Indian side will meet China halfway, conscientiously implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strictly abide by the spirit of the relevant agreements signed by the two sides, and jointly safeguard the Sino-Indian relationship,”
