The Irish Defense Force has announced that one of their soldiers died yesterday when a convoy traveling to Beirut was hit with small arms fire.
It appears that four soldiers were injured from the attack and then taken to a nearby hospital where one of the soldiers was pronounced dead on arrival.
One of the other soldiers was seriously wounded and the other two had minor injuries.
Note, the Irish Defense Force soldiers are in Lebanon to act as peacekeepers.
