The January 6 Select Committee has recommended criminal charges to the United States Department of Justice (DoJ) against former President Donald Trump, which include:
- Obstruction of an Official Procedure
- Conspiracy to Defraud the United States
- Conspiracy to Make False Statements
- Inciting or Assisting an Insurrection
This does not mean formal charges have been pressed against Trump, as the referrals act as a recommendation for the DoJ. So far it means unknown if the DoJ will act on the recommendations of the committee.
