Taylor Dudley Released from Russian Custody

Taylor Dudley, 35, of Lansing, Michigan, has been released from Russian custody after more than a year since crossing from Poland into the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. He was in Poland for a music festival and it is not currently clear why he crossed into territory of Russia.

The family’s spokesperson told CNN moments ago in what appears to be a successful negotiation led by former- New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson. Richardson also negotiated the release of Griner and is still attempting to release Paul Whelan.

Based on the sworn secrecy of the Griner negotiations, it is not surprising the conversations and arrest of Dudley were not widely known before today’s announcement.
