The Pentagon announced that the unidentified unmanned object spotted over Alaska was shot down by an F-22 Raptor. This marks the aircraft’s second air-to-air kill in its operational history. The F-22’s first A2A kill came about Saturday with the downing of the suspected Chinese ISR balloon off the coast of South Carolina, meaning there is a chance that both of the platform’s kills came from balloons if this object turns out to be another one.
