IDF Strikes Reported in Aleppo

Israeli airstrikes have been reported in and around the Aleppo International Airport and the Nairab Military Airport in the Northwest of Syria. The two installations are adjacent to each other and Iranian IRGC forces are known to be present in the region. It’s been reported that air defenses were activated but it’s so far unclear how successful they were at repulsing the attacks, if at all. The strikes occurred near midnight local time. It’s not yet known what was used to carry out the strikes, but Israel commonly uses F-35s to carry out strikes in Syria.

Update: Syrian state media says the Aleppo International Airport is out of service due to damage from the strikes. A Syrian military source reportedly said, “at exactly 2:07 am today, the Israeli enemy carried out an air attack from the direction of the Mediterranean, west of Latakia, targeting Aleppo International Airport, which caused material damage to the airport and put it out of service.”
