The IDF launched a raid in the Askar refugee camp in the city of Nablus early this morning. The raid was targeting a man named Abd al-Fattah Harusha, who Israeli authorities believe to be responsible for a shooting in Huwara, in which two Israeli settlers were killed.
The raid resulted in clashes with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade. The group released a message on telegram:
“? Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades – Nablus Brigade:
At this moment, our valiant fighters are waging a clash with all their might, firing a number of hand grenades.”
There is no word yet on if either side sustained casualties, but Palestinian sources have claimed the IDF began to withdraw after “abducting” one Palestinian militant.
