Jordanian MP Arrested for Alleged Weapons and Gold Smuggling into West Bank

Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that lawmaker Imad Adwan,  a member of the Palestine Committee, was arrested by Israeli authorities for allegedly smuggling weapons and gold into the West Bank. The ministry noted that it is “working to find out the merit of the situation and address it as soon as possible.”

So, there have not been any official statements by Israeli Authorities.

Footage posted online purportedly shows the weapons seized from Adwan, which includes M4-style rifles and dozens of handguns. The exact quantity of gold remains unknown at this time as well, however, some unconfirmed reports have suggested up to 100 kilograms (about $6,400).
