Spokesman for the Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdul Qahar Balkhi has announced that Afghan nationals have started to be evacuated from Sudan in coordination with Saudi military forces. The Taliban has previously stated that there are at least 120 Afghan nationals trapped in the country.
Balkhi stated that “We assure our compatriots of our continued efforts for the safe evacuation of remaining Afghans stranded in Sudan & will utilize all means available thereof.”
