Elon Musk announced on Twitter he has found a new CEO, as he will transition to CTO and Executive Chair. He did not say who, but that she will be taking over in around 6 weeks.
Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!
My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.

This comes a few months after he bought Twitter for $43 Billion. In that time, Twitter has dropped in valuation to hovering around the $20 Billion range.
It has been rumored that Musk would make some form of transition and change, suspected to be a new COO, but this is the first that has been announced he would step down from CEO.
