Slovenia Votes to Recognize the Holodomor as Genocide

In a 67-8 vote on Tuesday, May 23rd, the Slovenian Parliament voted to recognize the Holodomor, the 1932-1933 famine in Ukraine, as a genocide. Slovenia joins a steadily increasing number of countries in recognition of the event, which has grown particularly since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
