A car bomb exploded in Damascus near the Shrine of Lady Zeynab among people gathering for Muharram, an Islamic Holy celebration.
The official casualty count has 6 dead and 25 injured.
Preliminary reports suggest a bomb was planted on a taxi in a narrow street and detonated with many nearby. A suspect was also arrested nearby as a potential suicide bomber.
This is the second bombing in Damascus in a week.
