The drone was reportedly deemed a threat to American military personnel at joint bases with Kurdish forces in the region. Turkey has ramped up drone strikes in Syria and northern Iraq against Kurdish targets in the wake of the PKK attack against the Turkish Interior Ministry in Ankara on Sunday.
