BRIEF
Libyan Pro-Government Forces Retake Gharyan After Earlier Seizure by Pro-Haftar Militia
The Libyan Observer has reported that on Sunday hours after Pro-Haftar/HAF militia forces, reportedly led by a local individual known as Adel Daab, took control of the mountain city of Gharyan in northwestern Libya, 80km south of Tripoli, GNU-aligned forces with the support of the Pro-GNU Libyan Air Force took back control of the city. Earlier, the news outlet Libya Alahrar reported that clashes in the city had left two dead and that the city had come to a standstill with schools, shops, and markets being closed during the fighting. This specific clash is notable since it occurred deep inside of Pro-government/GNU territory.
