Cabo Verde Declared 3rd Malaria-Free Nation in Africa

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Cabo Verde, the West African Island nation, as Malaria-Free. This makes Cabo Verde the 43rd country, and the 3rd in Africa, to be Malaria-free. Mauritius, another African Island nation, was declared Malaria-free in 1973 and Algeria was declared Malaria-free in 2019.
