Turkey Launches Operation Heroes-42 Against PKK

At approximately 0045 EST, Turkish Interior Minister Yerlikaya announced the launch of Operation Heroes-42 aimed at PKK cells in Mount Cudi, Gabar Mountain, Beytussebap, and Bestler-Sereler areas of Turkey. The operations supposedly will involve up to 37 teams with more than 500 Gendarmerie personnel.
