On February 1st, the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved the sale of 31 MQ-9B drones to India amid efforts to increase maritime defense capabilities.
The U.S. State Department also promised the sale to India, although approval by Congress is the final step. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified both the House of Representatives and Senate of the approved sale.
The final estimate of the value ranges around 3.99 billion USD, or 331.1 billion Indian Rupees.
