China has shown off a scale model of their new GJ-11 Sharp Sword Stealth Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) at the Singapore Air Show, running from February 19th to 25th.
The GJ-11 is projected to have a maximum take-off weight of 22,046 lbs and is powered by a jet engine with a speed of about 613 mph (987 kph). The vombat radius is 745 miles (1200 km) with a payload of 4409 lbs.
The UCAV design uses a tailless flying wing and will have a naval variant that will likely be operated from the Type 004 Fujian-class carriers. The GJ-11 will also have a loyal wingman variant that will likely be controlled by the J-20 and J-35 stealth aircraft.
