The Singapore Ministry of Defense reported that the “US used their F-35s to locate and identify surface-to-air missile sites of Russian units in Ukraine,” adding that “this information was shared with NATO countries,” during a statement that highlighted the operational effectiveness of the platform.
This comes as the country is seeking to acquire 20 F-35s to bolster national defense capabilities.
American aircraft do not fly sorties over Ukrainian or Russian air space, meaning that these operations were either done from NATO airspace or international airspace over the Black Sea.
