Reports Emerge of Clashes Between Colombian Military and the FARC

Update 12:38 Local Time: The Colombian Military stated in a post on X that four members of the Carolina Ramírez Front, a part of the FARC, have been detained while “29 explosive devices, five rifles, a pistol, abundant ammunition, communications equipment, as well as quartermaster material have been seized.”

Reports have emerged that the military forces of Colombia have engaged forces belonging to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia in Putumayo, located in southern Colombia.

The forces of the Jupiter Stabilization and Consolidation Command, belonging to the Colombian Army, are reportedly clashing with members of Structure 48, associated with the Second Marquetalia.

Two members of the FARC have reportedly been captured by Colombian authorities as the clash continues.

This clash follows an announcement from the Colombian government that military operations against the FARC would resume following an attack on an indigenous community.
