At approximately 1134 EST, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operation authority announced that an incident was underway in the Red Sea. By 1300 EST, the UKMTO confirmed that a commercial vessel was struck by a projectile approximately 23NM West of Mukha, Yemen. The vessel reportedly caught fire, but the crew was able to extinguish the flames and continue transit under self-power. All crew members are reportedly safe.
