Update (2047 EST): The II MEF X account has clarified that a Marine fired a weapon during an altercation on Camp Lejuene.
On 23 March, there was an altercation on base in which shots were fired. There are no reported injuries, and the suspect has been apprehended. There are no public safety concerns at this time.

According to Lt. Col. Cassandra Stanton, Communication Strategy & Operations Director with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF), a Marine was detained late Saturday afternoon after an unspecified shooting incident onboard Camp Lejuene, North Carolina. There were no casualties.
