Kim Yo-jong Claims Japanese PM Proposed Meeting with Kim Jong Un

Kim Yo-jong, sister of North Korean Supreme leader Kim Jong Un, has claimed that Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida requested to hold a summit with the North Korean leader “at the earliest possible time” from a report made by the Korean Central News Agency.

In February, Kim Jong Un claimed that he is not opposed to improving relations between North Korea and Japan after Kishida said he felt a “strong need” to alter the current relationship.

The current standing between North Korea and Japan is questionable, as they are opposing ideologies and North Korea holding missile tests which threaten Japan.
