Moscow Demands Extradition of Ukrainian Security Chief over Alleged Implication in Terror Attacks

Moscow has formally demanded Kyiv extradite Vassyl Maliouk, head of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), along with other individuals accused of being implicated in the Crocus City Hall attacks

This request, grounded in two international anti-terrorism conventions, alleges these individuals’ involvement in several attacks, including the Crimea bridge bombing in October 2022.

Ukraine has dismissed Russia’s demands as baseless and cynical, maintaining a stance of innocence. The Russian Foreign Ministry insists on an immediate halt to Ukraine’s alleged support for terrorism, the extradition of accused individuals, and compensation for victims.
