Argentina Applies to be NATO “Global Partner”

Following his meeting with NATO Deputy Secretary General, Mircea Geoana, the Argentinian Minister of Defence, Luis Petri, has announced that Argentina has submitted an application to become a NATO 'Global Partner'. Within his announcement, Petri stated Argentina's intention to "modernize and train our forces to NATO standards."
