Merchant Vessel Taking on Water Following Houthi Attack in Red Sea

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported that a commercial vessel has begun taking on water after it was struck by a “small craft,” indicating a potential explosive unmanned surface vessel (USV) attack by the Houthis in the Red Sea.

Likewise, the vessel was also hit by a secondary airborne projectile, which could either be an explosive drone or an anti-ship missile.

The master reported that the vessel is currently not under command of the crew.
