Houthis Release Footage of M/V Tutor Attack

The Houthis have released footage showing the explosive unmanned surface vessel (USV) and missile attack against the Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned bulk carried M/V Tutor in the Red Sea last week, which left one crew member dead and ultimately sunk the vessel.

The footage confirms reports by UKMTO that the vessel was hit in the stern by a USV and then by a secondary missile.

The attack marked the first USV strike against a commercial vessel by the Houthis since attacks against shipping lanes began last October. This also marks the second vessel sunk by the Houthis, with the first being the M/V Rubymar back in March.

The Houthis have maintained that attacks against commercial shipping vessels owned by Israeli companies or that have made port calls in Israel will continue until IDF operations in Gaza stop.
