Explosion Near Russian Embassy, Kabul

Preliminary reports suggest a possible explosion occurred around 8:23 p.m. local time in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Onlookers report the blast on Darulaman Road within the vicinity of the Embassy of Russia. Also next door is the Afghan Mercy Hospital. Locals report a checkpoint set up near this spot as well, with all three points being potential targets. Geolocation done by Atlas News confirms this as the approximate location of the explosion.

As of this report, it is unconfirmed if there are any casualties or what the circumstances of the explosion are. There has been no announcement from either the Afghan or Russian governments.
