North Korea Launches Possible Missile

Update (1848 EST): The South Korean Joint Chiefs have announced that this launch was a failed medium-range ballistic missile.

Update (1653 EST): The Japanese Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the single missile has fell outside of Japan’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

The Japanese Ministry of Defense has announced that North Korea has launched a possible ballistic missile.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs also confirmed that a missile is en route towards the Sea of Japan from North Korea.

The last missile launch by North Korea was on May 29th, 2024 when aerospace forces launched a salvo of ten short range ballistic missiles only days after a failed satellite launch.
