North Korea Sends Another Rounds of Trash Balloons Across DMZ

South Korea’s Joint Chief of Staff (JCS) announced that North Korea has sent another round of balloons filled with trash and human waste on Monday, June 24th.

The JCS advised that the balloons seem to be traveling southeast from the northern part of Gyeonggi and warned locals to report the balloons to authorities and not to touch the balloons since parasites were discovered on some of the balloons.

This would be the fifth round of balloons North Korea sent across the border. From May to June, North Korea sent around 1,000 balloons. The sister of North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Yo-Jung stated that more balloons would be sent after North Korean defectors sent anti-North Korean leaflets northbound.
