Venezuelan Vice President Injured by Falling Tree, Cumanacao

Update (1846 EST): President Maduro has told press that the Vice President is “badly injured, conscious, and strong”.

According to Venezuelan media, both Vice President Rodriguez and Montes Mayor Bello have been injured by a falling tree in Cumanacao, Venezuela.

The pair were reportedly in Sucra to survey flood damage during emergency responses to Hurricane Beryl which is due North of Aruba.

The pair have been transported to the hospital. It is not currently clear what their current condition is.
