Argentine Police Arrest Armed Man in Proximity of President

In a moment of chaos, Argentine authorities arrested an armed man approximately one hundred meters (328 feet) away from President Javier Milei, according to local media. The security secretary of the San Juan Province, Gustavo Sánchez, identified the man as Francisco Agustín Castro, a 76-year-old former policeman, and detailed that he was detained with a loaded 9mm handgun. The local authorities caught the man attempting to jump the first security parameter as Milei was about to give a speech in front of the Casa del Sarmiento in the city of San Juan in Western Argentina.
