Kim Jong Un Visits Mausoleum of Country’s Founder

North Korea state-run news outlet Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that Kim Jong Un visited the mausoleum where his grandfather, Kim Il Sung, and his father, Kim Jong Il, are resting on the 30th anniversary of his grandfathers death, July 8th, 2024.

Kim has visited his grandfather’s mausoleum almost every year since taking office in 2011.

Joining him are other officials, including Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly Choe Ryong-hae and Premier Kim Tok-hun.

KCNA, as well as another state-run newspaper, Rodong Sinmum, also reported Kim’s military achievements during his term.
