Thai Air Force Picks SAAB Gripens Over Lockheed Martin F-16s

The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) has selected the Swedish-made Gripen E/F fighter jet over the American-made F-16 Block 70. This decision is part of the RTAF's plan to replace its aging fleet of F-16s, specifically the 12 F-16s in the 102 Squadron based at Korat, which are slated to retire by 2028.
