Japan and Pacific island nations are poised to strongly oppose any unilateral attempts to change the status quo by force or coercion, as China's influence in the region grows. This stance will be expressed during the 10th Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM) in Tokyo from July 16-18, according to a draft declaration released Saturday.
